[UE5] Ancient Cathedral

An ancient cathedral sits, half decayed and abandoned, awaiting the return of its deity...

Lighting the hero asset was the main difficulty I faced during this project. In the first three drafts, the focal point remained on the windows in the back room instead of on the throne. Although the scene was pleasing to look at hue-wise, the lighting lacked depth and purpose. Switching the large directional light in favor for some rectangular lights was something I initially resisted, but finally relented as I felt the piece was going nowhere.

The scene is lit dynamically, using NVRTX version of UE5.0.3.

Huge thanks to Abhi P (https://www.artstation.com/shiroflames) and Ponnilavan MJT (https://www.artstation.com/ghostofsparta2412) for their feedback and pushing me to hone in a focal point for the project.
Also thanks to Maria Yue for creating such a detailed and thorough lighting course that can be accessed here: https://www.artstation.com/marketplace/p/bpdJd/ue4-advance-lighting-design

Color graded in DaVinci Resolve with minor adjustments in Photoshop.

Process. Went through many iterations of color grading and overall focal points.
